The President of the Technical Commission represents the concerns of the Technical Commission within the EUF Board. He is elected by the General Assembly for a period of three years.

Each member federation shall provice one technical representative which is confirmed by the Executive Board.

The Technical Commission deals also with the interaction of all tools, additives, and structural specifications necessary for the correct processing and installation of tiles.

The Technical Commission tries to live the principle of "good practice and state of the art" and to bring together existing know-how in the member associations and disseminate it as far as possible.

As a rule, the Technical Commission is commissioned by the EUF Board to work on topics based on existing needs of the member associations and our partners. However, it can also take up and work on its own topics that are important for the entire membership.

The Technical Commission maintains direct contact with the tile industry associations, leading testing institutions and the technical universities that are important for our sector.

The Technical Commission does not produce independent standards or leaflets on tile installation issues, but helps to consolidate existing national standards or instructions with the aim of making them available in particular to those organisations and national associations that do not yet have their own national collection of standards.

The Technical Commission usually meets twice a year for the regular meetings in spring and autumn. These are not necessarily scheduled at the same time as those of the EUF Executive Board. If the current business / projects require it, the Technical Commission can also meet analogue or virtually.
